OUR PIANO PLAYERS
Kirk

Kirk Garrett

Kirk comes to us from Yosemite, California. He's the consumate classic piano performer and knows all the old stuff. He keeps us in line.

Eric Mangum

Eric tends to be the most uncontrolled, most likely to wind up in a straight-jacket. He adds guitar and saxophone to the mix (he also bangs on a couple of spoons). Eric grew up in Salt Lake (no matter what the other guys say), but because he spends so much time in front of a computer - he acts more like he was raised in cyberspace.

He's played piano since he was five years old, started on saxophone in the sixth grade, and picked up the guitar in high school because he thought it was cool.

Troy

Troy Baldwin

Troy drives all the way from Kaysville (Ogden area) to join us. He's a veteran player and has the most guts to try a song he's just heard. Troy has been singing since the age of 7, where he performed with a children's group called "Terry Tots". He loves music, and has a natural ability to hear a song and play it. Troy studied vocal performance at the University of Utah, and traveled the world in various show groups. He performed for several years at Lagoon (a Utah amusement park), singing in "Music USA" and has since been playing and singing in multiple dueling piano shows for the last 6 years.

Tara

Tara Haynes

Tara is the only female of the Tavernacle piano staff, but don't be fooled... she holds her own!!! She's the only one of the group with actual schooling in real music. She's a great performer and adds real style and diversity to our show.

Jeremy

Jeremy Botelho

Jeremy comes from Northern Utah and began playing the piano around the age of five. He took lessons for a few years, and by the time he was eight - he could play by ear. He, like most of our piano players, has played in local Utah bands over the years. He even toured a bit around Hawaii and Florida (rough gig!). Like Troy Baldwin, Jeremy also performed at the Utah amusement park; Lagoon for six years.
